The Los Angeles Lakers, with three starters out because of injuries Friday, had the worst free throw shooting percentage in a game in NBA history — and still won.
“Man, that free throw line, it’s like a virus or something,” said guard Jordan Clarkson, the only Laker to make free throws in the game.
Jordan Clarkson was the only Laker to make his free throws in an abysmal team shooting performance from the charity stripe on Friday.
That is the worst percentage in franchise history and worst by any Lakers opponent in team history with a minimum of 20 attempts.
The Lakers (16-29) entered the game last in the league in free throw shooting, converting just 69.5 percent from the line.
